About TLC
At the TLC we're all about comfort. We want you to be
comfortable with your technology and we want you to be
comfortable while you're spending time with us.
We're here to help you learn how to use the latest software applications and technologies at your own pace, any time, anywhere. Attend one of our workshops, stop by for one-on-one help, or just come hang out in one of our really comfy study areas.
We have four smart study rooms scattered throughout the
library. Whether you're meeting with the other members
of your group to work on your big project, studying on
your own, or preparing and practicing a presentation you
can hang out in a room full of technological possibilities
and comfortable furniture.

Sometimes you just don't want to leave your house to study.
Maybe you're a night owl who is most productivelong after
the sun goes down and most people are asleep. Or perhaps
you live a little too far from the library - like on the other
side of the planet.
Whatever excuse you come up with for not visiting us in person, you don't have an excuse not to visit us online. Think of the Virtual Technology Learning Center as the facebook or MySpace of education. You can conduct research, chat with other students with similar research interests or catch up on what developments are being made in your field of interest. Sound a little more nerdy than your typical virtual community? Maybe.
And the VTLC offers online video tutorials on more than 100 software programs, so if you've put off finishing an assignment until the very last minute, you can still learn how to use the programs you need to get it done.
Don't hide on the sidelines like a luddite. Be as creative as you want to be. Let yourself go. Don't be scared of your computer. Don't be afraid to stand out amongst your peers.
We offer all sorts of opportunities to explore your imagination. Hang out in our computer lab with wireless standard software & hardware or one of the smart study rooms.
Throughout the year we'll be offer workshops over anything
you can imagine - blogging, podcasting, Adobe's Creative Suite,
creating movies... If we're not offering what you need, ask for
it. And, because we aim to please, we offer individual learning
sessions just in case you learn better in one-to-one situations or
if you can't wait for a workshop.

We even offer the basic stuff for the non-geniuses. Take care of all your printing, scanning and copying needs at our desk. And you can consider us the one-stop shop for stuff like software, discs, and flash drives. And if we don't have it, we'll help you find it. `Cause we're just good like that.
