Scholarships and Financial Aid
Fort Hays State University stands behind its promise of Affordable Success, offering you a high quality education taught by outstanding faculty while keeping tuition as reasonable as possible. However, we know that it is still expensive to go to college. Nearly 80% of on-campus students and nearly 70% of qualified online students receive some sort of financial aid. Financial aid may take the form of scholarships, federal grants and loans, state grants, work study or traditional loans.
The Department of Nursing has any number of scholarships available for both undergraduate and graduate students, available for download in Document form:

There are a lot of dates for you to be aware of. Priority deadline to apply for FHSU scholarships is December 15, and the final deadline is February 15. In order to qualify for federal financial assistance (grants and loans), you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as the FAFSA. The earliest this application can be completed in January 1, and students who complete it by March 15 are more likely to receive full eligibility for assistance. Visit FHSU’s Financial Aid web site to learn more about all the financial assistance resources available to you as a FHSU student.
