Committee Name:  Executive and Planning—

Specialization and Objectives:
Share the Diversity Mission, Goals and names of Committee Members with the FHSU campus community, identify available resources and services to support diversity, evaluate campus and community needs and interest, provide assistance and information to other groups on diversity and related topics, work to strengthen Multicultural Students groups

Specialization and Objectives:
Plan and coordinate major events, create a mechanism for student and community groups to submit details of upcoming events related to diversity topics, establish an information clearinghouse for diversity activities, and develop an Event Cataloging system with a Clearinghouse Manager

Specialization and Objectives:
Represent our committee in the community, promote the committee’s service to the community, enhance the committee’s image, coordinate communications with the press, and increase levels of participation among students and faculty at multicultural events and activities

Oversee development of institutionalized budget and a fundraising plan to solicit external funds

Specialization and Objectives:
Seek educational, inspirational and creative ways to challenge stereotypes, enhance sympathetic consciousness of Faculty, Staff and Students to multicultural issues, improve self-awareness and sensitivity on campus and in the community, invite students to share and comments on issues, provide forums to share the Diversity Mission and Goals, and recommend and provide professional development opportunities in the areas of diversity

Objective 1: Provide workshops for faculty and staff on multicultural issues.
Objective 2: Provide workshop, training, and presentations for any class, group, or organization interested in multiculturalism

Objective 4: Enhance minority students involvement with functions of Kelly Center
Objective 5: Involve Faculty in multicultural issues as much as possible

Committee Name:  Enrollment, Staffing and Retention—

Specialization and Objectives:
Work in support of the Admissions Office to increase enrollment of underrepresented students, with service departments and academic search committees to improve minority representation at all campus levels, with the Kelly Center and Student Affairs to provide forums for emotional support, career counseling, peer mentoring, academic advising, personal safeguards, and conflict advocacy for students and staff of the underrepresented classes.
