The University Master Plan for Future Campus Development

The Fort Hays State University Master Plan for future campus development is a living document. The Master plan is periodically reviewed and modified to meet changing needs of the institution. The purpose of this document is not to identify specific building sites, or new buildings in detail. The Master Plan seeks to define zones of future campus development, as well those areas which will not be further developed with physical structures. Key elements to future campus development include:

1. Additional parking along Park Street.
2. Completion of a roadway between Gustad Drive and Dwight Drive.
3. Transforming a portion of South Campus Drive into a pedestrian plaza.
4. Construction of a campanile within the pedestrian plaza.
5. Selective removal and replacement of Residential Life facilities.
