Knowledge
of Modern Languages is now an essential part of any well-rounded
academic program. The United States is becoming more multi-cultural
and international with each passing decade. Our society requires
more bilingual people in the fields of medicine, law, sociology,
education and almost any other field of endeavor. The study
of a foreign language not only provides the means to obtain
gainful employment, but also equips the Twenty-first Century
person with a life-long ability to incorporate literary, artistic
and cultural viewpoints of various peoples of our planet.
The Modern Language Department at FHSU extends a congenial
invitation to study with us!

Woodall (2004).
