Office of General Counsel

The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice to the President, the administration, faculty, and staff on legal issues involving or affecting the institution. General Counsel advises the University administration on a broad range of initiatives, policy matters, and issues. General Counsel is responsible for preparing legal documents, reviewing and recommending approval of contracts and agreements for which the University signs.

General Counsel also provides educational services for a wide range of audiences, including training programs internally on legal and policy matters and educational programs outside of the University for legal audiences and general audiences on matters affecting Fort Hays State University and higher education.
