FAFSA on the Web
Using FAFSA on the Web helps eliminate some of the paperwork involved with applying for financial aid. Applications on the Web are totally safe, convenient and easy to use. Complete instructions are at the site and help is always available. However, sometimes questions arise while completing the FAFSA. If you have a question that isn't addressed within the site or regarding FHSU's specific policies, feel free to e-mail our office.

If you want to begin exploring your financial aid options and get an early start on the financial aid process, FAFSA4caster is for you! By using FAFSA4caster, you and your family will receive an early estimate of eligibility for federal student aid. This Web site provides you with an opportunity to increase your knowledge of the financial aid process; become familiar with the various types of federal student aid that are available; and investigate other sources of aid, such as grants and scholarships.

This publication describes the different types of Federal Financial Aid, aid eligibility and addresses some special circumstances. Note: The Student Guide is published by the U.S. Department of Education and outlines general financial aid policies. Specific policies can vary between educational institutions.   
Kansas State Treasurer
Learn about the Kansas Post secondary Education Savings Program. Note: Regulations and details for this program are currently being finalized by the Kansas Legislature. Please visit the web site to learn about the latest legislative changes to the program.

Sponsored by USA Group, this is an extensive online resource for college-bound and current students, their parents, and financial aid professionals. This interactive site will provide help and advice on several aspects of planning for college.

Sallie Mae
Sallie Mae is the largest student loan servicer in the U.S. A variety of information regarding student loan counseling, debt management and possible repayment options are offered on this site.

USA Funds
USA Funds is the largest guarantee agency for student educational loans in the U.S. This site offers a comprehensive array of information regarding student borrowing.

National Student Loan Program (NSLP)
NSLP is a well established, regional guarantee agency. This agency's web site also offers a variety of information regarding student loan counseling, debt management and possible repayment options.    
U.S. Department of Education Sites    
Students and parents can use their U.S. Dept. of Education PIN at these sites. You can request a pin number at the Pin Registration web site.

Receive any type of information about the federal programs.

National Student Loan Data System
View a history of federal student financial aid received.

Students.gov
Federal interagency web portal that provides students and their families with a single point of access to useful information, resources, and services, both government and non-government.

Direct Loan Servicing
Enable a Direct Loan borrower to view or update information about a Federal Direct Student Loan.

Outside Scholarship Searches
FHSU has updated its scholarship search page to provide you with numerous resources on the web.

On-line Selective Services Registration
All males 18 years of age or over are required by law to register for Selective Service. This is also a requirement that must be met in order for financial aid to be awarded. (This is optional - not required - for females over 18.)

List of Title IV School Codes
A Title IV School Code is needed in order for the FAFSA to be completed. FHSU's Title IV Code is 001915.
