The Writing Center at FHSU
Fort Hays State University’s Writing Center, located in Forsyth Library 20, offers students free, individualized instruction in all aspects of writing. The center is staffed by graduate and undergraduate tutors trained specifically to help students with their writing concerns.
Funded and maintained by the FHSU English Department, with the generous support of the Forsyth Library, the Writing Center seeks to promote a campus environment through which FHSU graduates will be better prepared and better trained overall in terms of their writing, research, and computer skills.
We hope to promote the use of academic writing — in all disciplines — as a tool for learning, communicating, and critical thinking. To this end, we wish to work closely with students, faculty, and administrators to help students become capable, successful writers.
