Converations with Diversity

Announcing free money for your department in the College of Arts and Sciences !!!

What dreams does YOUR department have for promoting diversity and globalization in your field? Don’t you WISH you could throw some money at them? Well, guess what??????

Apply NOW for the Conversations with Diversity project:

• How do we teach and how should our classroom presence evolve as our student population becomes not only more racially and culturally diverse, but also more globally and civically minded?
• How do we assure that the students we graduate will be prepared to become comfortable, active, affective and effective participants in a society that is daily becoming more diverse?

If you can find a way to address one of these questions, we can find a way for your department to get up to $1,000 over the next two years. We may even be able to connect you with funding from other sources for your project. TAKE A LOOK at the application form on the Diversity Affairs website, and view proposals of recent projects that were approved.

But I don’t know WHAT I want to do!
The Diversity Awareness Training Subcommittee can consult with your department to see what will work best to meet your needs and objectives. We can provide in-house training and exercises, and even conduct a needs assessment to help you determine where you want to start. Let us know how we can help you!
