Because we need to move service into the new tunnel, the fiber optic
cabling supplying data connections to Rarick Hall and to Martin Allen
needs to be cut and then respliced (fusion spliced). This takes special
equipment, and we have contracted with Nex-Tech to do the work. This
activity affects ethernet connectivity to two buildings mentioned above.
Wired and wireless ethernet service to Rarick Hall will be off-line
starting at 5:30 p.m. this Thursday evening. If all goes well, service
should be restored by Friday morning.
Wired and wireless ethernet service to Martin Allen will be off-line
starting at 6:00 a.m. (or earlier) on Friday morning. If all goes well,
that service should be restored by late afternoon.
