The Updates:
Respondus LockDown Browser has been loaded as a building block
in Blakcboard, which makes the much easier for the faculty to set
up a Blackboard test for use with Respondus LockDown Browser.
-
Screenshot Sequence: This set of screenshots show how to enable a test for Respondus LockDown Browser from within Blackboard.
- Demonstration Movie:

- The known issue: The "#" character is a special character for some of the server functions used by the Building Block, which causes the difficulty to enable Respondus LockDown Browser Building Block in Blackboard. Please do NOT use "#" as the part of test title.
LockDown Browser ( Click Here for more information) is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. When students use LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. (Supports Windows and Mac OS X 10.3.9+.) You must install Respondus before you can use the LockDown Browser in your course. (Students do not need Respondus, only LockDown Browser.)
Use the link to download a copy for you and your students. Students will need to install the browser to access and take secured exams in Blackboard. Printable guides that can be added to your Blackboard course are also available below.

Respondus ( Click Here for more information) is for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment, imported from a MS Word document or moved from one Blackboard course to another. Check the Online Training below for demos on using Respondus. Respondus User Guides (MS Word format) can be downloaded from http://www.respondus.com/products/userguide.shtml
