Undecided Student Advising
Undecided Brochure
An undecided student is a student that has not decided
on what they would like to major in, but is wanting to seek a degree.
All undecided students are advised in the Academic Advising and
Career Exploration (AACE) department. They work with the AACE department
their Freshman and Sophomore years taking General Education requirements
in order to stay on track for graduation and a major. The General
Education program is a 55 hour program. When students
reach their junior year (60 hours) or are finished with their General
Education requirements, they are encouraged to decide
on a major. During the freshman year, AACE will assess students
awareness of themselves by helping them explore their interests,
abilities, values, and personality preferences. The sophomore year
is exploration and learning about careers. What careers relate to
my interests, abilities, values, and personality preferences? To
learn more on how to decide on a major visit our Career
Exploration web site.
